Our Training Courses
In May 2009 NAC announced the launch of its NHS Hub, located in London. The Hub organises training for NHS and related clients.
We currently deliver an NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques at Levels 2 and 3. This qualification, which is accredited by Edexcel, is delivered in partnership with a number of FE colleges. It provides learners with a basic foundation in lean working, which enables them to work more efficiently and to identify and implement improvements. In addition to the theoretical underpinning that they receive, the learners plan and implement practical improvements to the workplace.
The higher level qualification is especially suitable for team leaders and supervisors, who can then act as champions or change agents within their organisations. In this way, NAC ensures that the lean approach to working is embedded in the organisation, and that the improvement effort can be sustained.
We also deliver a BTEC Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques at Level 2. This is based around our specially designed Lean Foundation and Lean Practitioner workshops, which take place over three days and two days respectively. The workshops involve a 'real-life' value stream mapping exercise. Participants employ a range of business improvement tools and techniques to reduce waste and improve the flow and quality of work. They draw up an action plan to steer the implementation of the improvements that they have identified - thereby ensuring that the training has a direct impact in terms of improved productivity and cost savings.
Team Leading and Management Training courses are also available.
“We have seen a significant increase in engagement with the NHS at all levels, from Foundation Trusts, PCTs, clinical and non clinical areas through to the supply chains including cleaning and catering provision. We have been impressed by the approach of our NHS partners and the impact achieved through our activities”
